World-Famous Turkish
Scientists Met in İstanbul
The “Congress of Turkish Scientists Abroad”, organised
for the first time with the aim of enabling Turkish
scientists abroad to contribute to the strengthening of
Turkish research areas, was held in İstanbul.
The Congress, which brought together 100 successful
Turkish scientists from different research fields and
from the world’s leading universities and research
centres with their colleagues in Turkey and the private
sector, drew great attention. The Minister of Science,
Industry, and Technology, Nihat Ergün, attended the
Congress, as well. The scientists enjoyed the event
and it was emphasised that an important step was
taken in the name of brain power.
