TÜBİTAK Is Giving Awards
for the Research Projects
of Young Inventors
In 2012, there were 5,574 project applications to the
National Research Projects Contest for Secondary
School Students, which was first organised in 1969.
There were very remarkable projects exhibited at
the 43rd contest. Of 200 projects, the best received
awards at the final exhibition, held in Ankara.
The main purpose of the contest, which is organised in
the fields of computer science, biology, basic physics,
applied physics, chemistry, mathematics, geography,
sociology, and history, is to encourage secondary
school students to pursue scientific research and to
contribute to their scientific progress.
