Collaboration Between TÜBİTAK and MIGHT is Getting Stronger

Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, had a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister H.E. İsmail Sabri Yakub and authorities from the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology - MIGHT.

 

At the meeting, they discussed about the Memorandum of Understanding signed with MIGHT on 16 October 2020 and the results of the academy-industry joint call that was launched on 23 November 2020 with a specific focus on post COVID-19.  During the meeting, it was also decided to open the new call in the autumn of 2022.

 

Also, the planned cooperation with MIGHT under the umbrella of the Center of Excellence was discussed in detail. It was stated that thanks to the Center, it is aimed to make multilateral collaborations with the participation of Turkey and Malaysia, as well as Qatar, Indonesia and Pakistan. In the said cooperation, it was decided to focus on food safety, health, internet of things and energy under the title of “Green and Digital Transformation”.

 

TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the two sides. Mandal also drew attention to the issue of increasing the areas of cooperation between the two sides.

 

In the program, which will be held on Thursday at the Presidential Complex and attended by H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Malaysian Prime Minister H.E. İsmail Sabri Yakub, the Memorandum of Understanding signed between TÜBİTAK and MIGHT will be exchanged.
