The scientific evaluation of the project applications within the 10th term calls (4006-A and 4006-B) of 4006-TÜBİTAK Science Fairs Support Programme, by the help of which 5-12th grade students gain experience in preparing and presenting scientific projects, has been completed.
A total of 133,328 project applications were submitted by 9,111 schools for the Programme’s 10th term calls, which have been updated to include 66 thematic topics and 12 main areas aligned with the priority areas in the science, technology and innovation ecosystem.
In order to improve the quality of projects, this year, all project applications underwent a similarity check for the first time. Following the similarity check process, 95,535 projects from 6,553 schools qualified to proceed to the scientific evaluation stage, where they were assessed by 551 experts and educators in their respective fields.
As a result of the scientific evaluation process, 3,349 schools located in all 81 provinces across the country have received support for their 51,097 projects.
