The main aim of our country in the field of sports stated in the Twelfth Development Plan (2024-2028): to include individuals having a talent on sports in the talent pool at an early age, to increase the quality of sports professionals, to gain success in international organizations by reaching a level of competing globally in every branch of sports, and to transform sports into a lifestyle spreading throughout the society with the insight of sports for all.
It has a great importance to conduct qualified scientific research having inclusive approaches and targeting to integrate the scientific results of current technological and academic studies into the development of Turkish sports. These studies should be the ones addressing the challenges faced in sports activities and trends and contributing to be prominent in global competitiveness with original study subjects by going beyond traditional focus areas.
In this regard, within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between Ministry of Industry and Technology and Ministry of Youth and Sport, a special call titled "Sports Research" within the scope of "1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program" will be opened.
