Training and Consultancy Needs of More than 600 Agricultural Organizations Will Be Determined

Eastern Black Sea Project Regional Development Administration (DOKAP) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) joined forces to support organizations operating in the field of agriculture. Signatures were signed for the Strengthening Agricultural Organizations in the DOKAP Region Project, which was created for this purpose. The project was attended by TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and DOKAP President Hakan Gültekin signed it. In the project that will continue until June 2024, TÜBİTAK  Turkish Management Sciences Institute (TÜSSİDE)  will support DOKAP in the field.

Agricultural cooperatives, grower and producer unions, chambers of agriculture, in short, agricultural organizations and organizations that serve as a bridge between the producer and the consumer, play a key role in making the agricultural sector take on a competitive structure and thus moving rural development forward. The project aims to create an inventory of agricultural organizations operating in the DOKAP region and reveal their current situation; It was created to develop studies to determine the competencies and needs of the organizations to be selected in line with the determined criteria and to examine good practice examples on site.

With the work to be done with DOKAP, the training and consultancy needs of more than 600 agricultural organizations in the region will be determined and a road map will be prepared for them to reach higher levels.

In the project, it is planned to first determine the Agricultural Organizations Inventory of the DOKAP Region and conduct a Current Situation Analysis for the Agricultural Organizations in the DOKAP Region. In the next stage, Good Practice Examples Analysis will be carried out.

At the end of the project; Agricultural Organization Preliminary Evaluation Report, DOKAP Region Agricultural Organizations Inventory, List of Agricultural Organizations Open to Development, Situation Analysis Report, Technical Review Report on Domestic and International Good Practice Examples and DOKAP Region Agricultural Organizations Training and Consultancy Needs Analysis will be made.

The project is expected to continue with the implementation phase after June 2024.

The project will be carried out in the provinces of Amasya, Artvin, Bayburt, Çorum, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Ordu, Rize, Samsun, Tokat and Trabzon.
