Major Increase in TÜBİTAK TEYDEB Support Program Limits

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that the upper limits of the support programmes carried out by TÜBİTAK Technology and Innovation Support Programmes Directorate (TEYDEB) had been increased.

1512-1812 BIGG Programme Support Limit

The BIGG Programme, which was launched in the form of grant support for young people to transform their technology and innovation-oriented business ideas into value-added initiatives, underwent a structural change this year and was transformed into investment-based support. The upper limit of the BIGG Programme support increased from 450,000 TL to 900,000 TL.

1507 Support Programme Limit

TÜBİTAK did not forget the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. The upper limit of the Project Budget of 1507-SME R&D Start-up Support Programme, which SMEs use extensively to enter TÜBİTAK R&D support processes, has increased from 1.200.000 TL to 2.400.000 TL.

1505 University-Industry Cooperation Programme Limit

TÜBİTAK's 1505-University-Industry Cooperation Support Programme Support Upper Limit, which is of great importance, especially in terms of transferring the know-how of universities to industry and bringing it into commercial life, has increased from 1,000,000 TL to 1,500,000 TL.

The new upper limits for 1505, 1507, and 1512-1812 programmes will also apply to projects that are still in the application or evaluation process.

Transfer payment by promissory note (prepayment) limit

The Transfer by Promissory Note (prepayment) Limit, which significantly facilitates access to financing for organisations carrying out R&D projects by using TÜBİTAK supports, has been increased more than 3 times. Within the scope of 1501, 1507, 1509, and 1511 support programmes and Innovation Support Programme Implementation Principles Directive, the upper limit of transfer payment (prepayment) by promissory note was increased from 300,000 TL to 1,000,000 TL. It will be applied to projects whose project support period continues and whose period report has been submitted or will be submitted after 1 July 2023.

Increase in Limits Used in Some Other Programmes and Support Process

1602 Patent Support Programme and 1503 Project Market Support Programme limits and many other limits were significantly increased in the support processes.

Minister Kacır pointed out the importance of increasing the support limits within the scope of TÜBİTAK TEYDEB and said, "We are increasing our support with the awareness that technology-based initiatives will act as a locomotive in achieving Türkiye's goals, building the Turkish Century, leading innovation and transformation, and the production of original and innovative products. In this sense, as the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we will continue to pave the way for the entrepreneurship ecosystem." "We are going through a period in which the global competitive environment is being reshaped. The added value produced by a brilliant idea and the employment it creates can be the driving force of the economy. " said Kacır, "We will continue to increase the human resources in the industry and support industrial organisations. At the same time, we will continue to facilitate the access of organisations carrying out R&D projects to financing. " he emphasised.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, expressed his satisfaction with the increase in support and said, "As TÜBİTAK, we continue to support our technology-based entrepreneurs, SMEs, industrialists and companies, and support R&D projects with innovative approaches.
