INFORMATION ABOUT TECHNOLOGY
The patent family, including the know-how of the "Cholesterol Reducing Cold Tea" technology developed by TÜBİTAK and the patent numbered TR2017/13347, which is subject to this technology, if the Licensee needs to complete the necessary infrastructure preparation and to carry out development work maximum 2 (two) years and 5 (five) years will be transferred for production, use, sales and development works starting with the end of preparation period.
As a functional food, "Cholesterol Reducing Cold Tea" is a product that helps to reduce the cholesterol level in the blood thanks to the plant sterols it contains, and its health claim has been proven by clinical trials. The positive effects of the product subject to transfer on health have been approved by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and health claims can be made about the product in accordance with the Turkish Food Codex Nutrition and Health Declarations Regulation. The TUBITAK project, in which the invention subject to transfer emerged, was awarded the Sabri Ülker Science Award in 2015.
