GÖKTÜRK 2 in SPACE!
Reconnaissance and observation satellite GÖKTÜRK-2, developed by
TÜBİTAK and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) engineers for the
Turkish Air Force, has begun its mission in space.
With the successful launching of new national observation satellites RASAT
and GÖKTÜRK-2 into space, Turkey has secured its place in the world
space league. With the GÖKTÜRK-2 Project in the field of space technology,
the use of specialised human resources and development of infrastructure
opportunities are achieved, and, in particular, the satellite imaging needs of
the Turkish Armed Forces and other public institutions and organisations
will be met.
