Since 2016, TÜBİTAK's Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Competition has been aiming to increase and disseminate the awareness of UAVs, to follow the technological developments in this field, and to contribute to these developments and also provide technical and social experience to the participants.
The competitions are organized by TÜBİTAK’s Science and Community Programs Department and the technical rules are applied and supervised by the Advisory and Assessment Committee. This event, organized by TÜBİTAK, includes associate, undergraduate, and graduate students of national and international universities. Students must form a team for the competition. Each team must also have an academic advisor and responsible academic.
In the competition, students will develop fixed- or rotary-winged UAVs that have the specifications determined by the Advisory and Assessment Committee, and demonstrate the skills of their vehicles such as flight, maneuverability, autonomous flight, target recognition, pick-up, transportation, and drop-off. All of these processes will be evaluated throughout the competition calendar.
The technical rules may be changed by the Advisory and Assessment Committee. For rules, announcements and application visit http://iha.tubitak.gov.tr/home_en.html
