The Protocol for Duzce Science Center Was Signed

Within the frame of the Science Center Foundation Support Program # 4003, after the completion of the application period and the signing of the preliminary protocol between TUBITAK and Düzce Provincial Administration on January 23, 2018, the "Project Contract for the Establishment of Science Center in Düzce" was signed in Scientific Committee Meeting Hall’s of TUBITAK by the President of TUBITAK Prof. Hasan Mandal and Düzce Governor Zülkif Dağlı.

In frame of the activities within Düzce Science Center, it is aimed to bring together individuals with different backgrounds from different age groups, bringing science and technology to society in an understandable and accessible way, and to increase the precepts of science and technology in society through experimental and applied activities in the exhibition areas and educational units. It is planned to complete the Science Center in May 2021, which will also serve as a center of the attraction for the neighbor regions.

Since science centers are predicted to play an extremely critical role in promoting science cultures in our society, TUBITAK aims to establish these centers in our country and to increase the numbers in the years. Until now, the project contracts have been signed to establish science centers in Konya, Kocaeli, Kayseri, Bursa, Elazig, Antalya Kepez, Samsun, Sanliurfa, Gaziantep and Istanbul Üsküdar.
