TÜBİTAK’s Support to Arctic Research

In the vision of being among the leader countries in the world by doing original scientific studies  and through the attempts of Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), “National Arctic Research Programme (2018-2022)” (pdf-in Turkish) has been prepared. The main purposes of the programme are to support projects on Arctic research to make it possible to have national expeditions to Antarctica, to send our researchers to other countries’ science bases by maintaining bilateral collaborations about arctic sciences and to establish Turkish science base in Antarctica.

To this end, in the scope of “The Protocol About The Cooperation for Scientific Studies on Antarctic and Arctic”, which was signed among Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), grants will be given to projects proposed by the distinguished researchers, who were interested in specified primary research themes. For this reason, a call was prepared and announced. Researchers may submit their proposals about the call, which will be carried out by Academic Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB) under 1001 - Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Programme, until May 31st, 2018 to http://ardeb-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr .
