The European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) Support Programs, financed by the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC), of which Turkey is a member, offers various fellowship opportunities to scientists, researchers and students at every stage of their career, as well as technical personnel working in research support units.
In order to increase the participation of scientists from Turkey, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland and Slovenia, EMBO created new support programs open only to the applications of researchers from these countries and made significant changes in some of the existing support programmes.
The new and adapted schemes are:
- EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships (EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships): 5 of the fellowships provided within the program are reserved for researchers who want to go to Turkey, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland and Slovenia. . Applicants whose applications pass the pre-selection will receive support from an EMBO member or EMBO Young Researcher to prepare for the interview in order to increase the success of their application.
Applications accepted throughout the year.
- EMBO Advanced Collaboration Grants: Support given to group leaders in participating countries to visit another group leader in an EMBC member country to discuss possible collaborations.
Applications will be taken starting from December 2021
- EMBO Lecture Courses: Support provided to enable doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers in participating countries to participate in EMBO Lectures.
Deadline for applications: March 2022
- EMBO Lecture Series: Financial support provided to invite EMBO Fellows and Young Investigators to deliver lecture series at institutions in participating countries.
