Application Deadline for ICGEB Fellowships is September 30, 2022!

Türkiye is a member of The International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), since 1989. ICGEB provides financial support to researchers working in the fields of basic life sciences, health services, industrial and agricultural biotechnology and bioengineering. Applications for ICGEB Doctoral and Postdoctoral Short and Long Term Research Fellowships are made twice a year, and the deadline for applications for the second term of 2022 is September 30, 2022.

Arturo Falaschi Short-term PhD Fellowships
  • During the PhD opportunity to do short-term research visits to the ICGEB laboratories in in Trieste, Italy; New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa
  • Duration: 1-12 months
  • Travel and living expenses
  • Medical health insurance coverage is provided for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Visa/permit of stay application and renewal costs are reimbursed.

ICGEB Arturo Falaschi Short-term Postdoctoral Fellowships  

 
  • Opportunity to do short-term research in one of the ICGEB laboratories in in Trieste, Italy; New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa
  • Having a PhD degree or at least 3 years of research experience
  • Duration: 1-6 months
  • Travel and living expenses
  • Medical health insurance coverage is provided for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Visa/permit of stay application and renewal costs are reimbursed.

Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships 2022

 
  • Opportunity to do postdoctoral research in one of the ICGEB laboratories in in Trieste, Italy; New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa
  • Having a PhD degree or at least 3 years of research experience
  • Duration: 24 months (possibility of 12 months extension)
  • Travel and living expenses
  • Medical health insurance coverage is provided for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Visa/permit of stay application and renewal costs are reimbursed.

ICGEB SMART (Scientific Mobility for Advanced Research Training) Bursları

 
  • Researcher mobility programme among ICGEB member countries
  • Opportunity to do research in a research laboratory in any of the ICGEB member countries
  • Duration: 3-9 months
  • Travel and living expenses
  • Bench Fee: US$ 500
  • Applications can be made in any subject in the field of life sciences
  • Although there is no age limit, priority is given to researchers who have just started their doctorate or who have not exceeded 5 years since receiving their doctorate degree
  • Researchers holding a master's degree can apply

ICGEB-COMSTECH Scientific Cooperation Programme Short-term Fellowships
  • Opportunity to do short-term research in one of the ICGEB laboratories in in Trieste, Italy; New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa
  • Duration: 1-12 months
  • Travel and living expenses
  • Medical health insurance coverage is provided for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Visa/permit of stay application and renewal costs are reimbursed.
  • Applicants  who will apply for a laboratory in Trieste and Cape Town must hold a BSc degree. Applicants who will aplly for a laboratory in New Delhi must hold an MSc degree.
