TÜBİTAK has Launched a Scholarship
Programme for Students from Least
Developed Countries
TÜBİTAK gives scholarships for graduate students from Least Developed Countries
(LDCs) to study at Turkish universities.
Turkey will contribute to the work of the United Nations within the scope of
humanitarian responsibilities to LDCs. One of the areas to be supported is education.
The 2235-Graduate Scholarship Programme for LDCs was launched by TÜBİTAK for
this purpose.
2235-Graduate Scholarship Programme for LDCs aims to:
• give scholarships to successful MSc or PhD students from the LDCs in the fields
of natural sciences, engineering and technological sciences, medical sciences,
agricultural sciences, social sciences, and humanities;
• contribute to the cultivation of qualified scientist and researchers.
The duration of the programme is 10 years, during which about 1,000 students
from LDCs will receive graduate scholarships to continue their studies at Turkish
universities.
