Popular Science Books

TÜBİTAK Popular Science Books Department supports education at primary and secondary schools and universities and aims to contribute to the cultural life of Turkey by introducing a wide range of exciting science books to book lovers.

The Departments vision is to introduce basic science to public, make them like science, present scientific and technological innovations and developments to them and to be a pioneer in creating a culture of science and technology.

The Departments mission is to increase the sustainable competitive advantage of Turkey by publishing popular science books appealing to each and every part of the whole society, presenting scientific and technological innovations and development to the society, publishing books creating a culture of science and technology, presenting the needed information with cheaper price and higher quality.

TÜBİTAK Popular Science Books are categorized under 6 series. These are: Adult Series, Biography Series, Reference Series, Questions&Answers Series, Children and Youth Series and Early Childhood Series.

Proposals for books to be published are received from different channels and evaluated by The Publishing Commission with 9 members. The books are selected by The Publishing Commission with regard to certain criteria. These are: context, originality and presentation.
