The Success of Young Scientists in the Field of Mathematics Had Earned Totally 6 Medals

Within the International Science Olympics program carried out under Science Fellowships and Grant Programmes Department (TÜBİTAK- BİDEB), the young scientists who were raised in the national team camps successfully represented our country in the international olympiads.

This year, in the 22nd Young Balkan Mathematical Olympiads held in Rhodes, Greece between 19-24 June 2018, the following schoolars won silver medals: Ahmet Çağdaş Girit from İstanbul Siteler Secondary School, Hayrettin Eren Yildiz and Osman Gülen from Private Bornova Sevinç Secondary School, Omer Faruk Erzurumluoğlu from Gaziosmanpaşa Necla İlhan İpekçi Secondary School. Other two schoolars won bronze medals: Barış Koyuncu from Private Halkali Oğuzkaan Secondary School and İbrahim Fırat Yoğurtçu from Fatih Çapa Atatürk Secondary School. With 4 silver and 2 bronze medals won by schoolars, Turkey took the fourth nomination in the competition.
