4003 – Science Center Projects Support Program

TÜBİTAK, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, is the leading agency responsible for the management, funding, and conducting of research in Turkey. It was established in 1963 with the mission of improving science and technology, conducting research activities, and supporting Turkish researchers.

Based on the anticipation that science centers would assume a critical role in Turkey in terms of making scientific culture more widespread, TÜBİTAK aims to increase state-of-the-art science centers in Turkey and supports local authorities’ (municipalities, governorships, universities) science center projects. With the aim of increasing public engagement with science in Turkey through the establishment of vibrant science centers, TÜBİTAK has a long term goal of opening a science center in every province of Turkey.
